Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Vandalia, St. Elmo, Brownstown, Farina, Shobonier, Wrights Corner, Avena, La Clede, Pittsburg, St. Peter, St. Paul, St. James, Loogootee and Hagerstown. This includes the following State Parks... Carlyle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 68 and 76. Interstate 57 in Illinois near exit 135.
