Southwestern McKinley County in west central New Mexico... * Until 1215 AM MDT. * At 725 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms moving into the warned area which has already received between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain. While additional rainfall amounts are forecast to remain at or below 0.5 inches, flooding will continue over the Zuni Pueblo and Black Rock areas. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Instruction: 
Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many miles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.
