FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... South Central San Juan County in northwestern New Mexico... * Until 1100 PM MDT. * At 838 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen across Chaco Canyon National Historical Park. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry creeks and streams and roadways. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chaco Canyon National Historical Park.
