Southwestern Iron County in southern Utah...
Northern Washington County in southwestern Utah...
* Until 800 PM MDT.
* At 451 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen, with the heaviest rainfall in and about the New
Castle area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

washes, creeks and streams, developed areas, highways,
streets and underpasses.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
