South Central Sevier County in central Utah...
* Until 815 PM MDT.
* At 518 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Monroe Canyon Burn Scar. Between 0.4 and 0.65
inches of rain have fallen in the Monroe Canyon and Dry Canyon
drainages. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through Monroe Canyon and Dry Canyon. The debris flow can
consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding in and around the Monroe
Canyon Burn Scar, especially within Monroe Canyon.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
the Monroe Canyon Burn Scar.

Monroe Canyon and Dry Canyon.
Instruction:
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and
ditches in the Monroe Canyon Burn Scar. Severe debris flows can also
be anticipated across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away
in places. If you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
