Description:
Periods of heavy rainfall will continue to be possible this
afternoon. Ponding of water on roads will make driving conditions
dangerous. Some small streams and ditches will be full with minor
overflow possible.
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
county, Pike.
* WHEN...Until 330 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 208 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Troy, Brundidge, Goshen, Banks, Troy University, Troy
Municipal Airport, Antioch, Linwood, Ansley, Kent, Mossy
Grove, Springhill, Orion, Henderson, Brundidge Municipal
Airport, Tarentum, Sandfield, China Grove and Hamilton
Crossroads.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
