At 448 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ohatchee, or 8 miles northwest of Saks, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rainbow City, Saks, Glencoe, Ragland, Ohatchee, Alexandria, Neely
Henry Lake, Southside, Gadsden Municipal Airport, Neely Henry Dam,
and Wellington.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
central, northeastern and east central Alabama.
