Description: 
At 314 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Geraldine, or 12 miles southwest of Rainsville. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea to dime size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Albertville, Boaz, Guntersville, Crossville, Geraldine, Lakeview, McVille, Hopewell, Skirum, and Lake Guntersville St Park.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northeastern Alabama.
