Description:
At 131 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Morgan City, or 12 miles southeast of Redstone Arsenal, moving east
at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Southern Huntsville, Guntersville, Owens Cross Roads, Grant,
Woodville, Union Grove, Eddy, Columbus City, and Lake Guntersville St
Park.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
