Winston County in northwestern Alabama... * Until 245 PM CDT. * At 204 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sardis, or 14 miles north of Arley, moving west at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Haleyville, Lynn, Arley, Double Springs, Addison, Houston Recreational Area, Nesmith, Brushy Lake, Helicon, Inmanfield, Ashridge, Sardis, Corinth Rec Area, Needmore, Moreland, Winston Free State Barn, Smith Lake, Houston, Natural Bridge, and Posey Field Airport.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm.
