Description:
At 1032 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Tullahoma to 7 miles northwest of Ardmore
to 14 miles northwest of Athens to 8 miles northeast of Rogersville.
Movement was east-southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Instruction:
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
