* AFFECTED AREA...Lower Kobuk Valley. * TIMING...From Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered. * WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 35 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs around 80. Lows in the upper 40s. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are possible due to scattered thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will come with frequent lightning and outflow boundaries. Any lightning can cause new ignitions since the fuels are dry and burnable.

This watch will remain in effect until it is upgraded to a Red Flag Warning or that it is determined that the Red Flag event will not develop.
