Description:
* AFFECTED AREA...North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range and
Upper Kuskokwim Valley.
* TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday.
* THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Numerous.
* WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 40
mph.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid 80s. Lows in the mid 40s.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected this
weekend due to a combination of thunderstorm activity,
temperatures reaching into the upper 70s to low 80s, relative
humidities near 30 percent, and gusty winds.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Thunderstorms still looks to be the most
active across the southwestern portion of our region, with a
focus from McGrath north toward Galena.

occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.
