* AFFECTED AREA...White Mountains and High Terrain South of the Yukon River and Central Interior. * TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT this evening. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered. * WINDS...Northwest 5 to 10 mph. Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to a scattered wet thunderstorms across the interior. These storms will bring frequent lightning strikes and gusty winds that are expected to cause new fire ignitions. We plan to update this product by 10 PM AKDT or when lightning diminishes this evening.
