Description: 
The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from 1 PM Friday to 12 AM Saturday. * AFFECTED AREA...Yukon Flats and Fortymile Country. * TIMING...From 1 PM Friday to 12 AM Saturday. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered * WINDS...Northeast 6 to 12 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the upper 70s to near 80. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to scattered thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will come with frequent lightning. Any lightning can cause new ignitions since the fuels are dry and burnable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Most of the thunderstorm activity will be along the Alaska-Canada Border and move out of the region by 12 AM Saturday morning. If we notice the thunderstorm risk is ending earlier or later, we will update as necessary.
