Southern Denali Borough-Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp-Northern Denali Borough-Eastern Alaska Range South of Trims Camp A front is moving westward over the state. As this front progresses, we are expecting widespread rain showers and thunderstorms to continue for the Alaska Range. As of 1:45pm AKST Tuesday portions of the eastern Alaska Range have already reported more than 1" of rain. As of Tuesday afternoon, heavy rain continues to spread west, bringing an additional inch or more of rain. This heavy rain may result in rapid rising waters along rivers/streams coming out of the Alaska Range over the Tanana Valley. However, flooding is not expected due to the dry antecedent conditions.
