* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Eastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 900 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry washes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 601 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Gauges along Sabino Creek and
Bear Creek have recorded 0.50-0.75 inches in the last 45 minutes.
This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Sabino Creek, Esperero Wash, Bird Canyon, Ventana Canyon Wash and
Tanque Verde Wash.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tanque Verde, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Catalina Foothills
and Seven Falls.
- This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Snyder Rd from Kolb Rd to Sabino Canyon Rd.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
