* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * WHEN...Until 500 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 157 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Miller Creek, Lynx Creek, Willow Creek, Granite Creek, Bannon Creek, Butte Creek, Agua Fria River and Bottleneck Wash. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Prescott Valley, Prescott, Wildwood Estates, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Rodeo Grounds, Downtown Prescott, Oak Knoll Village, Fain Lake, Willow Creek Reservoir, Watson Lake, Whipple and Lynx Lake. - This includes the following highways... State Route 69 between mile markers 290 and 296. State Route 89 between mile markers 309 and 320. State Route 89A between mile markers 318 and 321. This includes the following recreation areas andcampgrounds... White Spar Campground, Lynx Campground, Eagle Ridge Group Campground, Hilltop Campground, Acker Park, AC Williams Granite Creek Park and Watson Lake Park. - Additional information is available at weather.gov/flagstaff.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
