Description: 
At 438 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the Benson. Between 1.5 and 2.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Benson. This includes the following highways... Route 90 between mile markers 290 and 293. Route 80 between mile markers 293 and 295. Interstate 10 between mile markers 302 and 309.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
