Description:
At 216 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended across
the warned area. However, earlier heavy rain of 2.25 to 3.25 inches
south of downtown Prescott is expected to cause flash flooding in and
around Granite Creek and its tributaries south of downtown Prescott.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

Prescott, Wildwood Estates, Highland Pines, Prescott Rodeo Grounds,
Downtown Prescott, Rancho Vista Estates, Copper Basin, Thumbe
Butte, Ponderosa Park and Whipple.

Instruction:
Stay away or be swept away! The banks of creeks and washes are
unstable and unsafe during any flooding event.
Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
