Description:
At 409 PM MST, Heavy rain has begin to taper off across the Cerbat
Range and Kingman area, but locally excessive runoff continues.
Avoid low water crossings and flooded roadways until conditions
improve.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Kingman, Windy Point Campground, New Kingman-Butler, Chloride,
Packsaddle Campground, Dolan Springs, Dw Ranch Road, Blake Ranch
Road, Hualapai Mountain Park, Wild Cow Campground and Hualapai
Peak.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
