Description: 
At 833 PM MST, the public reported numerous streets flood in and around Holbrook. Doppler radar indicates that the heaviest rainfall has moved out of the warned area, however flooding remains a concern from earlier heavy rainfall. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Holbrook, Sun Valley, Lisitzky Subdivision, Rosedale Heights, Clearview Heights and Holbrook Municipal Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between mile markers 281 and 296. Business Interstate 40 between mile markers 286 and 289. State Route 377 between mile markers 31 and 33. State Route 77 between mile markers 383 and 403. Highway 180 between mile markers 308 and 312. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Hunt Park. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Fivemile Wash, Little Colorado River, Porter Tank Draw, Tanner Wash, Puerco River, Digger Wash, Washboard Wash and Leroux Wash.
Instruction: 
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Stay away or be swept away! The banks of creeks and washes are unstable and unsafe during any flooding event.
