The National Weather Service in Tucson has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* Until 545 PM MST.
* At 429 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Bisbee and Naco.

Route 90 near mile marker 336. Route 80 between mile markers 333 and
353. Route 92 between mile markers 349 and 355.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
San Pedro River, Whitewater Draw and Spring Creek.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
