Coconino County in north central Arizona...
* Until 115 PM MST /215 PM MDT/.
* At 912 AM MST /1012 AM MDT/, a river gauge on the Moenkopi Wash
reported a rapid rise of 8 feet from thunderstorms last evening
that produced heavy rain upstream in Moenkopi Wash. Flash flooding
is already occurring and heading toward the village of Moenkopi.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Moenkopi Wash.
SOURCE...River gauge reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Moenkopi Wash.

At 8:45am MST /9:45am MDT/ the stage was 27.43 feet.
Flood Stage is 27.0 feet.
Impacts:
At 27.0 feet: At 27.0 feet water begins to encroach on homes in lower
Moenkopi Village and floods crop fields along the river.

Highway 160 near mile marker 313...and between mile markers 316 and
323. U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 476 and 479. State Route
264 between mile markers 322 and 324.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Cedar Wash, Moenkopi Wash, Begashibito Wash, Little Colorado River,
Fivemile Wash and Hamblin Wash.
Instruction:
This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause
extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks...streams...and ditches
in the Moenkopi Wash. Severe debris flows can also be anticipated
across roads. Roads and driveways may be washed away in places. If
you encounter flood waters...climb to safety.
