Description:
At 918 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain had ended
over the Wide Ruins area. However, flash flooding remains a threat
from earlier heavy rainfall. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. Arizona DOT reported flooding along US-191, south of Wide
Ruins, near milepost 389. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Arizona DOT reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, and highways.

This includes Highway 191 between mile markers 382 and 392.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Bent Knee Wash, Oak Ridge Wash and Wide Ruin Wash.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not
attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
