Deadman Wash near Wupatki National Monument in Coconino County... * Until 530 PM MST. * At 234 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across along Deadman Wash upstream of Wupatki National Monument. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, and normally dry washes. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wupatki National Monument, Doney Mountain and Wupatki Visitors Center. This includes U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 436 and 443. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
