At 624 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 13 miles northeast of Corinth to 14 miles west of Bagwell, or along a line from 19 miles northeast of Nashville to 21 miles west of Clarksville, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. Trees were downed across Western and Southern McCurtain County Oklahoma from these storms. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... De Queen, Ashdown, Nashville, Clarksville, Mineral Springs, Dierks, Horatio, Foreman, Boxelder, Umpire, Hagansport, Idabel, Broken Bow, De Kalb, Bogata, Lockesburg, Wilton, Tollette, Winthrop and Gillham.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms have produced damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
