Description:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, southwest, and western Arkansas,
including the following areas, in central Arkansas, Garland. In
southwest Arkansas, Clark, Hot Spring and Pike. In western
Arkansas, Central and Eastern Montgomery County, Central and
Southern Scott County, Northern Montgomery County Higher
Elevations, Northern Polk County Higher Elevations, Northern Scott
County, Polk County Lower Elevations, Southeast Polk County Higher
Elevations and Southwest Montgomery County Higher Elevations.
* WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Forecast rainfall amounts of two to four inches will be
possible over portions of western to southwest Arkansas and
much of the Ouachita Mountains. Local high-end rainfall
amounts greater than four inches will be possible as well. In
addition to forecast rainfall, much of the area received one
to two inches of rainfall Wednesday afternoon, resulting in
primed soils for runoff and flash flooding.
