* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast California, including the following counties, in east central California, Nevada and Placer. In northeast California, Sierra. * WHEN...Until 945 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 744 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in along I-80. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Along Interstate 80 and Hwy 89 are the most likely places to experience minor flooding. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Prosser Creek Reservoir, Boca Reservoir, Glenshire-Devonshire Cdp, Hirschdale, Floriston, Truckee, Lakeside Campground, Hobart Mills, Boca Campground, Alpine Meadows Campground, Truckee-Tahoe Airport, Glenshire-Devonshire, Boca Rest Campground, Ca 89 At Nevada-Sierra Co Line, Ca 89 At Placer- Nevada Co Line, Granite Flat Campground and Donner Memorial Campground. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
