Description:
* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph for
Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, and Prosser and Boca reservoirs. Wave
heights 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe.
* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
* WHEN...From 11 AM Friday to 11 PM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
improve.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds may subside below criteria early
Saturday morning for Donner Lake, and Prosser and Boca reservoirs
before increasing again in the afternoon. Winds along Lake Tahoe
expected to remain elevated through the entire period.
Instruction:
Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.
