THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR
PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST CA AND WESTERN NV...
* CHANGES...Increased wind speeds.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 270 Surprise Valley
California, Fire Weather Zone 278 Eastern Lassen County,
including the Biscar Fire, and Fire Weather Zone 458 Northern
Washoe County, including the Macy Fire.
* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40 mph.
* Humidity...Afternoon minimums 5 to 11 percent through Sunday.
Overnight recoveries 25 to 45 percent each night through Monday
morning.
* Duration...3 to 7 hours Saturday afternoon. 3 to 6 hours Sunday
afternoon.
* Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can
cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first
responders can contain them.
