Description:
The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Red Flag
Warning for thunderstorms and strong outflow winds, which is in
effect from 5 AM to 7 PM PDT Friday.
* Affected Area...Fire Zone 121 W. Shasta County Above 3000 ft,
Fire Zone 122 W. Shasta County 1000-3000 ft, Fire Zone 123
Shasta Lake Area & 1-5 1000-3000 ft, Fire Zone 124 Shasta

* Thunderstorms...Wet and dry thunderstorms with abundant
lightning.
* Outflow Winds...Gusts up to 40 mph.
* Impacts...Lightning from isolated dry thunderstorms or outside
of the main precipitation core in wet thunderstorms can create
new fire starts and may combine with strong outflow winds to
cause a fire to rapidly grow. Confidence is low on exact
coverage and wet vs dry, but latest forecast has increased
thunderstorm potential overall.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
