Description:
At 601 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles north of Burlington to 10 miles southwest of
Kanorado to 12 miles southeast of Bethune to 9 miles north of
Cheyenne Wells, moving east at 40 mph. Several other strong storms
are developing ahead of this line, along the Sherman and Wallace
county line. These storms are also capable of producing 70 mph wind
gusts and hail to the size of ping pong balls.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 35.
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 427 and 450.
Highway 385 between mile markers 147 and 200.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for east central
Colorado...and northwestern and west central Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
These thunderstorms will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.
