Description:
At 146 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Palisade, or 8 miles east of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and
outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Palisade, Mesa, Clifton, Cameo, and Orchard Mesa.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 38 and 55.
Colorado 65 between mile markers 44 and 61.
Colorado 141 between mile markers 158 and 161.
