At 259 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Bayfield, or 13 miles east of Durango, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Bayfield. This includes U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 95 and 116.
