Description:
At 403 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bayfield to 8 miles northeast of Cedar
Hill. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Bayfield, Ignacio, Allison, and Tiffany.
This includes the following highways...
U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 98 and 119.
Colorado 151 between mile markers 1 and 14.
Colorado 172 between mile markers 1 and 16.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
