Description: 
At 427 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles east of Bayfield to 9 miles south of Ignacio. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Chimney Rock, Allison, Arboles, and Tiffany. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 115 and 134. Colorado 151 between mile markers 6 and 33.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
