* Until 445 PM MDT.
* At 344 PM MDT, widespread blowing dust due to thundertorm outflows
was over the eastern half of the San Luis Valley, with visibility
near Alamosa reported to be less than a quarter mile.
HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with winds 50 to 60
mph.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Manassa, Sanford, La Jara, Antonito, San Luis, Romeo,
Blanca, Crestone, Moffat, Hooper, Great Sand Dunes, San
Pablo, Alamosa East, Mesita, Fort Garland, Sanchez
Reservoir, San Luis Lake, and San Acacio.
Instruction:
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
