* Until 900 PM MDT.
* At 604 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain north of Norwood near Norwood Hill. Between 0.6 and 1.1
inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3
inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

Norwood and areas along Highway 145 between Norwood and Norwood
Hill as well as Highway 90 along the Divide Road north of Norwood.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
San Miguel River and Horsefly Creek.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Highway 145 between Norwood and Norwood Hill is prone to rockslides
and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay alert for rocks and debris on
roads, and avoid driving on flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
