...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR SOUTHWESTERN COLORADO AND SOUTHEASTERN UTAH FOR AREAS AROUND ONGOING WILDFIRES... Several large wildfires developed across the region yesterday and exhibited extreme wildfire behavior. Atmospheric conditions are on track to be similar today as yesterday, and thus rapid wildfire spread will again be possible. The most concerning conditions are generally located near current wildfires, but any new wildfire development will also be capable of extreme behavior. * AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 205 Colorado River Headwaters below 8000 feet. * TIMING...From noon today to 10 PM MDT this evening. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...11 to 16 percent. * IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning.
