Description:
At 806 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Berthoud, or 17
miles southwest of Greeley, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Firestone, Johnstown, Milliken, Berthoud, Mead and Fort St Vrain.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has
produced large hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT Wednesday for a
portion of northeast Colorado.
