At 631 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles south of Highland Center to 4 miles northeast of Yuma to 12 miles southeast of Otis, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. A 63 mph wind gust was measured at the fairgrounds in Yuma. Blowing dust has also been observed on web cameras. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Yuma, Eckley, Joes, Abarr, Kirk, Heartstrong, and Clarkville.
