Description:
At 642 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 10
miles north of Byers to 11 miles south of Strasburg, or along a line
from 35 miles southwest of Fort Morgan to 34 miles east of Denver,
moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Byers and Strasburg.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
If on or near a lake, get away from the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
