* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex, New Haven and New London. * WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 PM EDT, While some of the rain has diminished in intensity, there are pockets of heavier rainfall moving in from the south that could impact the area in the next 1 to 2 hours. Grounds are already saturated with 1 to 3 inches of rainfall. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Haven, New London, Guilford, Clinton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Chester, Hamden, Branford, North Haven, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, North Branford, Old Lyme, Westbrook, Killingworth, Lyme, Gales Ferry and North Madison. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
