Increasing humidity is expected to lead to showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain through this evening. * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Washington DC, portions of central Maryland, including the following areas, Anne Arundel, Central and Southeast Montgomery and Prince Georges, and northern Virginia, including the following areas, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria and Fairfax. * WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered to numerous showers producing heavy rain are anticipated through this evening.
