* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...The District of Columbia, and portions of Maryland, including the following areas, Carroll, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Frederick, Northwest Howard, Northwest Montgomery and Prince Georges, and northern Virginia, including the following areas, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Eastern Loudoun and Fairfax. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms will develop into an increasingly humid airmass this evening. This, combined with recent rainfall, may result in flash flooding, particularly along small streams and in urban areas. Localized totals of 2 to 4 inches of rain are possible. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
