A small area of heavy rain is developing over the western Washington DC suburbs associated with a wave riding along a stalled front. * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Washington DC, and northern Virginia, including the following areas, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria and Fairfax. * WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A disturbance riding along a stalled front will produce localized heavy showers and perhaps a thunderstorm through early this afternoon.
