Description:
At 255 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Havana to 12 miles north of Florida State
University to 9 miles east of Tallahassee to near Woodville. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tallahassee, Woodville, Monticello, Thomasville, Quincy, Havana,
Wakulla, Attapulgus, Alma, Cody, Florence, Everett, Jamieson, Rocky
Hill, Miccosukee, Drifton, Laingkat, Calvary, Princes Still, and
Quincy Airport.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
