Description:
At 534 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm over Everglades National Park, or 21 miles west
of Homestead General Airport. This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Everglades National Park, Pa-Hay-Okee Overlook, and Mahogany Hammock.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
