Description:
At 156 PM EDT/1256 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Port St. Joe, moving southwest at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, Nine Mile, Highland View, Eleven Mile, St
Joseph State Park, Thirteen Mile, Odena, Cape San Blas, Indian Pass,
Tilton, Jones Homestead, Ward Ridge, Apalachicola Airport, and
Simmons Bayou.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
